- In his early period, Wen was educated in Peking and acted as a “Sheng” (male role in Kun opera) in the Northern Kun Theater , Peking . He left Mainland China in 1999 for the sake of participation of the Full-Editioned “Peony Pavilion” in USA and Europe. This series of performances of “Peony Pavilion ”earned him the remarkable international reputation as “the best Liu, Mong-Mei” (the name of the main male role).
- Since 2005, Wen has been invited to act in Taiwan , involved in almost every project of Lanting Kun Opera Troupe, and gradually became Our Honorary Artist-in-Troupe . In 2010, Wen participated in National Guo-Guang Opera Company ,Taiwan.
- During these years, Wen has been nominated by the Prizes of“The Golden Melody ,Taiwan”three times. The excellent performance in “Six Legends of Lanting Kun” earned him the catagory of “The Best interpretation of Traditional Music” in 2009. He also earned the honor of “Worldwide Chinese Cultural & Artistic Inheritance”. He now completely settles down in Taiwan and is totally devoted to his theater professional complex in performing, directing and teaching Kun Opera. After so many years’ efforts, he is in the pinnacle among the middle-aged generation international Kun artist circle.
